- Be
sure to keep your supervisor up to
date with your new job skills,
abilities and the kind of work you
prefer.
- Keep
us informed of your availability to
work. If you know you will be
unavailable for a certain period of
time, such as a vacation, please let
us know in advance.
- When
we have a suitable assignment for
you, we'll let you know right away.
- When
we call, we'll tell you all about
the work assignment; the skills
required, the work you will be asked
to do, how much the assignment will
pay, how long it will last and to
who you report. At this point you
may either accept or reject the
assignment. When you accept, you are
committing yourself to complete the
entire assignment. Please do not
accept any assignment you cannot
complete.
- If
you are going to be late for an
assignment or have an emergency or
illness which prevents you from
reporting to work, call your
supervisor immediately. Not showing
up for work without calling us first
will be cause for termination!
Do not call the client company. We
will contact them. Even if it's
before or after business hours, call
our 24 hour hotline right away
simply by dialing our phone number.

While on assignment, if the job
duties are very different than those
we described to you, please call
your supervisor.
- Be
sure to call us when your assignment
is complete or if the customer tells
you they no longer need you.
- Let
us know if you change your name,
telephone number or address so your
paycheck and year end tax
information will not be delayed.
Your Assignment
A
position is assigned to you according
to your skills and availability. We
are confident you will do your best...
so confident, in fact, that we
guarantee your work to our clients. We
guarantee them they will be satisfied
with your work. We know you will prove
our confidence in you by the standard
of your work performance. Your
supervisor will call you with your
assignment. However, your supervisor
is as dependent on you as you are on
them. They are constantly receiving
assignments from our clients and they
must know who is available for an
assignment and who is not. One way to
guarantee you will receive the best
choice of assignments is to keep in
touch with your supervisor.
Here's
what to do:
- Call
your supervisor as soon as your
assignment is ending so they can
arrange another one for you without
delay. It is REQUIRED that you call
in available within 48 hours of the
end of your current assignment in
order that we can place you on a new
assignment. It is extremely
important that you call us often,
otherwise we assume you are
unavailable for work. Call often.
- Call
your supervisor between 7:30 and
8:30 in the morning if you are
between assignments and you want an
assignment that day.
- It
is your responsibility to be at your
assignment promptly. If, for any
reason, you are going to be late or
cannot make the assignment, call
your supervisor and let them know
the situation. Do not call
the client company. Your supervisor
will handle everything for you.
Your Grooming
For
Office Environments: Your
supervisor will advise you of the
dress code for the office that you are
being assigned. The dress code may
vary from professional business attire
to business casual.
For
Industrial Environments: Your
supervisor will advise you of the
dress code for the warehouse location
you are beinbg assigned. The dress
codes may vary with the type of shoe
required depending on the safety
requirements of that location. You may
be required to wear steel toe boots
for protection or the environment may
only call for a comfortable tennis
shoe. Most locations allow jeans and
t-shire attire but check with your
supervisor for any variations to the
dress code.
Your Pay
Your
pay is based on the number of hours
you work for us on an assignment, and
your hours must be recorded on your
time sheet.
Required taxes are deducted from your
paycheck based on the information you
supply us on your W4 form.
We pay
on a weekly basis and our work week
runs from Monday to Sunday. At the
completion of your week, or at the
completion of your assignment, if less
than a week, bring in your completed
timesheet to your local office or fax
it to our payroll department at
303-805-2400.
Your
time sheet must be in our office by
Monday at NOON, for you to be paid
that week. Any time sheets received
after this deadline will be processed
the following week. It is your
RESPONSIBILITY to make sure your time
sheet is received by our payroll dept.
Pay Options
We
offer several methods of pay
distribution:
Direct Deposit: Please contact
your supervisor for details and a
Direct Deposit form. Always notify us
of any banking or address changes.
Visa
Paycard: Please contact your
supervisor for details. If you do not
have Direct Deposit, you will be
issued a Visa Paycard and each week
your pay will be electronically
deposited to your private personal
Paycard account. It is very important
that you keep your address current
with us in order to receive your card
timely.
Your "Golden Rules"
You
will enhance your image as a business
professional by following these
"Golden Rules."
- Be
punctual. No client will complain
about your being early.
- Make
a good first impression by looking
your best.
- Ask.
You are new to the client. They are
new to you. If you are unsure of any
aspect of your assignment... ask.
They will appreciate your concern
for your work.

Proofread. It is always better to
find your own errors first. Proof
your work and check your figures.

Finish the assignment. Always
complete your assignment. If
problems occur during the
assignment, call your supervisor.
They will handle everything for you.
Your Supervisor
Your
Excel supervisor is there to help you.
Call your supervisor:
- When
you have completed or are nearing
completion of your assignment.
- If
you are going to be late or cannot
make an assignment.
- If a
client wants to hire you on a
full-time basis, there are certain
conditions to be met. Your
supervisor will explain these to the
client.
- If
there are problems with your
assignment.
- If
you incur a work-related injury on
your assignment.
- If
you change your name, address,
marital status or number of
dependents, or want your paycheck
sent to a different location.
Your Responsibility
If you
want to stay busy earning money, it is
your responsibility to make sure our
office knows you are available. We
fill orders from people who have
phoned us to say they are available.
It is extremely important that you
call us often. otherwise we assume you
are unavailable for work.
Your Safety
When
you are sent on a work assignment, we
are concerned about the safety of your
work environment. If you feel
uncomfortable about your work area,
NOTIFY OUR OFFICE IMMEDIATELY! You
should not be working in any unsafe
conditions! Operation of any
equipment, unless authorized by an
Excel supervisor, requires
notification to our office. Please
call in if you are asked to operate
any equipment. Upon sending you out on
a job, we instruct you to follow
proper safety procedures. Excel
Personnel cannot be held liable if you
do not carry out these safety
requirements. You must comply with our
Safety Rules in your application
packet. All employees of Excel
Personnel must obtain treatment for
any work related injuries and
illnesses from Health One (locations
throughout metro Denver). In the event
of a life threatening emergency, you
will be sent to the nearest emergency
medical facility. Follow-up care must
be provided by Health One. If you are
treated by an unauthorized medical
provider, you will be responsible for
said treatment. You must notify us in
writing within twenty-four hours of
any work related injury or illness. It
is the policy of Excel Personnel that
any employee injured on the job be
brought back to work as soon as
possible. We will do anything
practical to assist our employees inn
getting back to work, including
modified duty if available.
Your Benefits
As our
employee you will receive several
benefits including:
Holidays
You
are eligible for paid holidays after
working a minimum of 980 hours
within the 6 month period with Excel
Personnel (consecutive time) prior
to the holiday. Our
schedule for paid holidays is New
Years Day, Memorial Day, 4th of
July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and
Christmas (1 day each). There are
some restrictions, please see your
supervisor for details.
Vacations
You
are eligible for one week of
vacation time after a minimum of
1960 hours and one year employment
with Excel Personnel (consecutive
time). There are some restrictions,
please see your supervisor for
details.
Health Care
Special programs exist with health
care providers, please see your
supervisor.
Family Leave
Family leave programs exist. See
